Kingdom Trails trail closures

We did Saturday and today there. In all I rode just over 85 miles. They have 3 lifts open Fri-Sun and 2 open the other 2 days. The shit there is dialed in. There is a top to bottom run that is like melted butter pouring down the mountain. Just fantastic all around.

You can take the gondola all the way to the top and get something along the lines of 2200 feet of descent in 1 go. They even work on the trails up top, as opposed to Burke which is more raw/freeride up there.

@kidzach - yup, hit almost everything.
I love those hybrid tech-flow trails they have now like lower Steel Panther, Cable Trail and lower Rabbit Hole. Some gnar, but also man-made jumps and berms thrown in here and there.
They also have these big long flowing berms that I don't see at any other parks.

Cable was a good trail. Shreddy was really awesome.

Anyone on here make it to Green Mountain Trails this morning? Funny seeing both cars in the lot being NJ.

Incredible. Probably my favorite trail system ever. Almost zero mud.

lol wow, that’s a hell of a review. I thought they were solid but I’m not sure I share your enthusiasm. But it’s really awesome you liked them so much.

What’s the next stop?

Also FTR, what’s now your second favorite trail system ever?

Back to NJ 🙁

I've also been to 0 places outside NJ before this trip and have been mtb'ing for 6 months so take my review with a heavy heavy amount of salt. Just really enjoyed the trails and vibe there for some reason.

Favorite so far is Allamuchy/Stephens in NJ with Ringwood close behind of the 8 or 9 parks I've been to so far. Plenty of places to expand within driving distance but always down for recommendations if you have them.

What else did you do up in Vermont?

Try Wawayanda eventually. It’s pretty awesome stuff.

Literally just drove up Friday, rode Killington all day Saturday, GMT this morning and drove back. Spontaneous trip since I don't think I've left NJ in 2020 before this. You inspired me ha. I've been up here to snowboard a bunch though, love the area.

Went to Wawa for a mile once before I double flatted. Great fun, let me tell ya. Gotta get back there soon.

How did you like Killington?

Incredible. Almost too fun...definitely spoils you not having to work for the downhill. Sideshow Bob and Coaster were our favorite trails of the day. Rabbit Hole and Steel Panther were real fun as well. Pretty shocked at the lack of lift lines too.

Step It Up to Coaster is one of the best constructed runs I have ever done in my life I think. It is 4-5 minutes of just not stop awesome. My daughter ended up riding a bunch (she's not really a biker) and this was her favorite. By the end I think I rode this combo 20 times in 2 days. That plank launch at the end was really awesome, and I hit it like 3 times when D & Simon were on the lift right above me. Accidental perfect timing!

Killington/Vermont were far less crowded overall than North Conway (which is where we went next). Tons of people from the Boston area up in NC this week. Almost like nothing has changed at all up in NH.

Good to hear zero mud. Will hit it tomorrow. I have a place basically across rt 100 from GMT ,and for some reason I ride there the least. I ride Pine Hill in Rutland the most with Sherburne/Base Camp Trails just behind. Millstone is a favorite also. I need to hit the Killington bike park more often also.

We were between GMT and Pine Hill. I really want to get a cabin up there some day, it's a perfect getaway...took us just over 4 hours to get up there Friday.
