OOS Top of Skyline Drive Ramapo. Sketchy to say the least with ice patches in various spots.

Just for interest below is a photo of a juniper, cedar, maple, oak and a scotch/scots pine :)

Crazy week of work and Jeep/House work. That being said I should have everything updated tomorrow. This weeks bonus....back to the multi-park. At least 30 minutes is needed in each park. Here is the catch....30 minutes bonus for each park...no limits on parks. Must be done in one continuous ride.

Ride one was at ramapo with the rogue OOS group. Conditions were downright treacherous at spots. Even the snow was beyond slippery as it had no give and was covered with a layer of ice. We decided to turn back and live to fight another day. Ride two was with the kiddies. We decided to go on a hot chocolate run. Our local spot was closed, so we ended up at dunkin donuts.

It was very moist. I rode off road for about 3/4 of a mile and the trials were completely underwater. It sucks, but it appears that there will not be any mountain biking in the near future. I explored a couple of parks I have never ridden and rode through South Mountain. It was a good ride.

Arthur Brisbane does not Disappoint

Long day. Started off in Roselle at the 8AM services for Scout Sunday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Can he get an AMEN? Yes he can. Then the kids had Sunday School back in HP, followed by a play date with classmates. Basically meant play date in the woods for me. Treaded lightly; the few spots too moist were walked.

Met back up with my crew + 7 more for RU Hoops @ the RAC d. Minnesota.

I think the bonus was for an Oak tree, I tied a yellow ribbon around one at HM if you happen to pass it. Oak barrels for some of Mila Kunis' whiskey! Good job.

Hope that photo of Oobaa47 hopping from that fallen oak tree onto a boulder counts towards his bonus. Not an easy task on a fat bike.

Here we go, bonus for the week. Just like last time, solve the riddle, take a pic during a ride. It is a thing that anyone can find in NJ whether on the road or trails. And this one is super easy so no complaints ?

My genus can be used to flavor a booze,
My species is dominated by the towering blues,
Take a pic during a ride, or join the ranks of the rubes!

OK a few people got the riddle bonus - obviously it was a living thing to find and photograph, one could assume a plant. First line answer is juniper (juniper berries flavor gin), second line answer is virginia (blue ridge mountains along the western border). Juniperus virginiana or red cedar. I'll accept anything in the juniper/cedar family. Also said no clues but couldn't resist - my ride pic from tuesday (left side a line of cedars - not many around here):

So far @w_b and @ridgehog get the bonus, someone else got it but hasn't posted a pic yet. Well done!

Trails were too wet, except on top of the ridge.

NOTE: It is cold, phones freeze during rides while recording Strava. Donot make it a habit of guestimating lost time - this time will not count!
