No Dale's? Man you're leaving out one of the best!

That's a 15 week tourney. Seems a fair length. I'm thinking you should track the average weight of the contestants from week 1 through 15 :)

I'm in. This is the greatest thing I have ever read. I now have a new excuse to drink..."it's for science". My old excuses were getting over used. :D

to my knowledge, Dale's is a Pale Ale, not an IPA. same reason Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (an undeniably yummy beer...particularly on tap) is not included.

Fair enough. I'd let Beer Advocate's classification rule. They seem to have it down well.

i think i can get my hands on all of these except the terrapin.

15 weeks is going to encroach upon octoberfests and stout season.

Sounds like fun- count me in in the name of science.

Another way of breaking things out would be to set up the brackets
so it's East vs West.
It could be argued that East and West styles are 2 separate beasts.

Right now the selection looks slightly East coast heavy (10 or 11),
so you'd need to shake that up if you wanted it to consider this.

I found the terrapin at the "clown" liquor store in Middletown so I figured it was available around these parts. if not, let me know and suggest replacements ;)

East vs West would be good as long as the West cost beers in the contest are available in the NJ area.
