Google video ads ruining the experience on mtbnj.com

A few days ago on both Linux and iPhone, something on the page kept taking focus off of the 'post reply' text box requiring you to keep clicking on the text box to continue typing every few keystrokes. Other than that, I haven't noticed any other issues.

The ad at the bottom hasn't changed from this for a few days. It's a weird one with a play button, but nothing shows up.

The site has also been pretty slow at times, but mostly on mobile and I can't really remember what times of day. Probably when Luke is mining coin.

Yeah, the same keeps happening to me.... only when the google ad is a video trying to load. If the ad is static, then I have no issues.
 
this is not happening on either of my chromebooks.
must be a hw specific problem.
 
The goog pushed an OS update to my chromebox and this problem has resolved for me.
