Yellow Trail TT

This is primarily a downhill run that starts with both wheels on Millers Lane 001.jpg and ends with both wheels on Gilbride Road.004.jpg

My run was done on a ht, but if a fs is all you have, use it. Some sections are a bit washed out, so please be careful. Bear right at all three intersections. Good luck.

Same course, opposite direction

There are just too many bear incidents today. Shouldn't you wait until they leave the area?

By the first picture that I posted. It is the middle entrance into yellow. Btw, the no fs rule applies to you only. All others, use what you want.

The middle entrance? 😕
Oh! The middle of the three 'entrances' at the 90 degree bend in Miller Lane. Got it.

Not that I'm gonna risk my life trying to beat this...

OK, just for chits and giggles while I was in the neighborhood...

2)Woody-5:00 Lap4 [rigid, ss, 32:18, yielded twice for climbing bikers]

And Dave, if you don't mind, I'd like to add a secondary challenge to this thread...same route, opposite direction:

1)Woody-8:01 Lap2 [rigid, ss, 32:18]

I was pretty surprised by the climbing time. I would have guessed it'd be like 3X the descending time.

Good job Woody, looks like you would have been right there if you didn't have to yield. My tt time would triple if I rode the course on a rigid.

I'll give the opposite direction tt a go next week. It's going to be painful.

I finally gave the opposite direction tt a try http://connect.garmin.com/activity/123111677. Lap 2 is the tt. I barely beat Woody's time, but hey, I'll take it.

Trail conditions were surprisingly good and with another windy day on tap for tomorrow, riding conditions for Friday and the weekend should be excellent.

I'm still waiting for a player to come out and destroy these tt times.

I've ridden this trail a handful of times with my BIL and the conditions were always fair. I have never tried it going the opposite direction :hmmm:. I did however wear full moto. It's rough! Have fun, ride safe!

From now thru Thanksgiving, I'm providing $5 shuttle service for the downhill tt. As you relax in my Honda, I'll be providing food and beverage for a small fee. For an additional fee, I will provide you with insight as to what rocks to avoid and when to go really fast.

now this sounds like a downhill TT. can i borrow your garmin too? 😀

next time i'm at CR i'm gonna do this, but i'll be on the honor system, and most likely on limited daylight 😉

mark me down for 5:13. i'm gonna do it again, i can do better.

pile of excuses: i only had a bar light and had to slow down at some of the turns at the top to see around the darkness corner, but the big one was i totally missed the last right turn to go up to gilbride. and there were locusts.

**edit** - this was on a hardtail

Good job, I'll post it up. With all the leaves on the trail it makes it difficult to let it rip, especially when it's wet.
