WTB - pickup truck

As an fyi, I've been known to run a car for 300,000 miles plus, it's not the engine that dies but rather the suspension and trans.

Just sayin.

I had a 2001 F150 SuperCrew XLT with a 5.4 and 130K miles. I tried selling it for 2,900 back in 2015. Not one bite. I traded it in and was able to get 2,500 for it.
There are loads of F150's out there. Check the TSB database. Mine ate COPs every 60k miles. There was an issue with the plugs not being able to be removed and a special Ford tool to get them out. There were other known issues, but few recalls, so each one was $$ at the dealer. One I remember was the AC condenser line would drip water into one of the plug wells.
Good luck with the search, really check out the TSB and F150 forums to see what the known issues were.

Too late for this one. Oh well.

2005 has the 4L60e, and this one is 2wd, on the bench in 45 minutes. Aftermarket tranny parts are plentiful and cheap.

Now, lets chat about the 6 and 8 speed trans. They are dropping like flys in a camp fire, parts are on back order, and big$.

Amazing yours lasted to 138k, most of them shit the bed in half that.
