WTB 44cm Women's Road Bike

I'm trying to find a good beginner road bike for my wife. After trying a couple of 47cm frames it looks like she needs the next size down, but it is extremely difficult to find something in both her size and price range.

Let me know if you have a bike or know someone looking to get rid of one.
 
I would suggest looking for a used women's 44cm on Ebay. I'm 4'11" and I ride a Cannondale 44cm road bike, and I love it. I paid full price at my LBS, Halter's Cycles (leftover thankfully), but I've sold bikes in the past that way. It seems like the way to go since selling a small bike is hard locally... you can reach everyone online. I just took a glance and there are a few options with a low price point.

EDIT because the link I posted had 650c wheels. Do not go that route.
 
My wife is 4 11 and was searching for a road bike.We also were looking at a 45cm bikes it was just to big stand over and reach.She ended up with a LIV AVAIL 1 in a extra small.

It's nice to hear that the the 44cm or XS seems like the much better option than trying to squeeze onto a slightly bigger bike.
