Wild Cat Wednesday!

Apparently scheduling meetings at 4:30pm on Wednesdays is all the rage right now. Guess I gotta find my own creams once again tomorrow. It's cool. I got a guy.

The 'really' cool kids call unscheduled meetings at 5:45 pm when your WFH required availability is 9am-6pm...or Sunday afternoon while you're about to head out for a ride 😡

you spelled stupid wrong, theres no 'c' no 'o's and no 'l' . . . . .

so if someone were to get out of work early enough (still remains to be seen)... and pack up the car... and head on over to wild cat this wednesday... what would this someone expect this ride to be like? which trails? how long? and, more importantly, how slow?

asking for a friend whose husband is out of commission and who may be suffering from lew mo-itis.

I have a pretty tough ride planned. Maybe someone will offer to lead a more chill ride and then we can all hang out and enjoy refreshments and eat ice cream together afterwards?

Hmmmmm... Maybe I need to sit this one out... Although I do like ice cream... A lot.

Well, I guess I'm out. Unless someone wants to plan a easier ride for the hikers in the group

You know your way around, right?

I was planning on beach glen, new righter mine, over the dam, left on yellow, left on white, left on dark blue (really rocky), and then there is a woods road climb back out to white before blue crosses the water. That puts us on white right near red, which we will take out to solar pond and the spot on upper hibernia rd where the last little section of yellow toward the hawk watch parking area is. From there we'll probably just take orange down, or maybe do a little bit more of white at the end depending on how late it is.

You, @Danimal, and anyone else that wants to can do the same first half of the ride at a more casual pace, and then just take yellow around and skip white/blue on the other side of the dam. Come on out, Lewis Morris isn't the answer.

everyone should follow the @JimN torture train and complain the entire ride. this is the way.

True. It's also only one section of trail that's really gnarly, and there's only one spot on it that I've never cleaned. Walking it the other night it seems plausible though.

I had to pull up trailforks because I've never seen a dark blue trail there... apparently I've passed it a bunch of times. Now I'm curious.

It's awesome, but most people don't like it. I think we've only done it once on a Wildcat Wednesday and it was several years ago. There are a few other sections on dark blue that are somewhat rideable, and some that are not at all. It doesn't see a lot of use and is generally very overgrown in the Spring and Summer.
