Mtn creek enduro sunday. anyone besides me going? i pre-rode the course today. parts of it are pretty gnarly. the pro-onry stage is fierce. should be a fun time. unfortunately the water park is closed so there won't be the eye candy

PreViewed the course this AM with Chris26er and Utah. Course is good mix of XC, man made, and natural DH terrain. The transfers between 1-2 and 2-3 are long and steep in sections. I walked a few sections. Going to be great conditions after the rain!

yeah, the transfer from 2-3 suuuuucccckkksss. basically wide open road and ski trail straight up the mountain pretty much in the sun the whole way...

Overall super fun day. Great to meet Utah, squarewheels and I'm sure a few others. Pretty sure Utah was the only one there that road all the transfers. 3-4 was ridiculous.

Nice meeting you yesterday finally. Were you also on foot for the final stage? Thought I saw you walking down as I was heading out. After slashing my tire on stage 2, I then killed the tube in triple drop on stage 4. Had to roll through the grass to the end.

That was some tough climbing....3000' in ~11miles...might be the most climbing per mile I have done on a ride. 26er was climbing all of it too but somehow managed to destroy his dr. hanger going uphill.

Good times!

Is this a decent bike for Enduro?

Utah / Squarewheels....

This is my bike.. I rode it at Mtn Creek downhill and it was decent for that... What about using for enduro.. Its 36lbs and kicks my ass in XC trails. Could I get away with competing Enduro with it?

For the timed sections it looks fine, riding up the climbs at MC would be tough, but I appeared to be the only shit head who felt like climbing, most people just walked.

I didn't have to walk any of it but i went off course on stage 4 and they let me choose between re-running it or taking a DNF (apparently some people there for DH ripped down the tape at one point and bunch of people went off course) i reran it which was fun. i cleared (read: cased, but close) the step-up at the bottom of the fire road descent for the first time so i was happy about that. definitely a fun event as all enduros seem to be. gonna try to get in 5-6 next season.
