GLOBAL FAT NIGHT RIDE

Ok folks. The latest in our series of Global Fat Bike Events will take place on the evening of Friday 21st June 2013. Imaginatively named 'Global Fat Night Ride' we would like to invite our chubby chasing friends around the world to once again take to the trails at 8pm local time. Make of it what you will, a solo ride, a group ride, urban, epic, a bivy all-nighter, beach, snow, desert, mountain, moor or even down the isle at Walmart. Just grab a bike, go ride. There will be dedicated photo threads at ukfatbikes.co.uk and at mtbr.com

Go spread the fat love brothers and sisters. How about a ride to Jemime Mount?

Count me in Jim! Keep on spreadin the Fatness!!!

Is this just for Fat Bikes? I only have a 29 hardtail with 2.2 in tires...

And how far / fast you guys going? Am in pretty good shape, I think! (Can ride solo road rides at 18mpg for 90mins, if thats any indicator...)

Haven't ridden Carranza yet, would love to join!

Haha! Beer, lots and lots of beer, back on IPAs after not touching them for a while. Being a semi-competitive distance runner through HS and college didn't hurt either, muscle memory is a beautiful thing!

Any word on tomorrow ride??

WE don't go fast, you don't need a fat bike, but it makes things better. As for the far part. This ride takes about 3 hours, and is around 18/20 miles. Carranza is part of Wharton, Wharton is part of the Pinelands. Pinelands = SAND

What are you drinking that gets you 18 miles per gallon?? 😉

Or that makes him be able to average that speed off-road on a 29er. Must be a World Cup Pro, you should have no issues riding with anyone here in NJ...

-Jim.

Come on out, you'll have a blast!!! If you wanna try an easier ride first, shoot for the trails at Batsto...Not as much sand, you can vary the distance, and go as fast/slow as you'd like...YMMV...

19.3 miles

good riding good friends
