@Bike N Gear Talk to me about the weight difference between the Omega 300 and the Pelagos. On paper is 194g versus 107g and you wore yours often enough that I'm sure you have a realistic opinion.

If I was buying one of these, I'd wear it often. I see no reason to leave it in a drawer for special occasions. Hence why the Pelagos keeps getting my attention.

I wear mine daily. It felt heavy for less than a week, then I just got use to the weight. Now if I wear any other watch I feel naked.

I have a few, a mix of fashion quartz watches and mechanical.

This is the one that I’ve been wearing most lately. A very beat up but still reliable Seiko 5. I like its compact, shrunk down size. It came on a steel bracelet but it was not the best. So now it’s on a narrow leather strap. I think the washed out pink pairs well with the muted caramel brown.

I also have a few divers watches. The timing bezel is never endingly useful. I love to cook so it’s particularly handy for that purpose.

This one is an skx013 sized homage from Long Island Watch. Do you know the brand? I’m a big fan of both the YT channel and watches.

I like its textured waffle iron dial and classic Seiko design cues. The lume is nice too!

Speaking of dive watches, I just got back from a cruise to Western Caribbean and got some good deals on 3 watches, one for my wife and two for me with my wife's blessings. One is an Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in blue that I've been eyeing for a while. I prefer this version over the newer version. I bought that on the ship we were on. The other is a Tag Heuer Formula 1 Calibre 5 in Cozumel where I also bought my the watch my wife wants. They gave us a deal on buying 2 watches plus a rebate of approximately 8.5% to 9% depending on the exchange rate when the rebate processes from the Mexican government that will be credited to my credit card. The Tag will be my new daily beater. 20260310_170655.jpg20260313_135102.jpg

Very nice dive watches, sir!

Here’s another of mine much more on the affordable end of the diver spectrum. It’s a Long Island cushion case. I like that parts from the boy-sized skx013 can swap into it so I installed a green ceramic bezel and rubber strap.

I had that Omega in grey, terrific watch!! And that Tag has a Blancpain vibe.

Very cool, love that cushion case! Had an Omega Cosmic from the 60s with that style case. What's old is new again

Nice adds to the collection, you won the lottery? After a Rolex I'd be idle for a bit...

I was so amazed at how nice the Tag looked in person. The sales associate brought me outside to see it in the natural sunlight and it just looks amazing. Then we came in and he shined UV light on the dial to show the lume. The only negative is it's 38-hour automatic power reserve but since it'll be my daily beater I'll be keeping it wound up.

I like the attention to detail on the dial and bezel where the number fonts all match - hour numerals, minute track and timing bezel.

Is the bezel lumed too?
