Looking to buy my first real timepiece

I spent too much time at the Tudor botique at Short Hills last weekend. Black Bay and Pelagos are so very nice.

Also really like this. Near-COSC movement, black-outlined hands, 70 hour reserve, very unique bracelet with on the fly adjustment.

Very clean looking.

You're happy with it now that you've had it for some time? Is the easy link really the perfect amount of adjustment like the AD tells me? I really like the Sub for the glide lock system.
The easy link can be handy but I never really had to use it. I guess my wrist size doesn't fluctuate enough to ever need it. I just keep it in the retracted position which is the preferred position according to the SA. To answer your question, I am very happy with it. It's a great daily in my opinion... although I have my Grand Seiko on today.

do you need a dive ring? it distracts. Land Dweller is the now.

Yeah, lots of buzz around the LD and the prices of them on the secondary market are insane. Forget about getting one from an AD without a purchase history worth 6 figures. But to be honest, although it doesn't look bad, I'm not as crazy about it as many other are. Yeah, people make fun of it from being a PRX clone or the OysterQuartz remake and I think they are legit criticisms. Anyway, it's a nice watch with new tech and finally an exhibition case back and not be a 1908 to show off the new hardware. They can fight over it, I'm good.

Of course not but I could time my dinner in the oven.

Not a LD fan. Too dressy for me. Integrated bracelet is limiting. The boss has one and it's beautiful but not for me.

My wrists either tend to swell or I'm extra sensitive to it. So if I'm buying something for 4 figures, it has to have an on the fly adjustable bracelet.

Since you're looking for a larger sport watch with on the fly adjustment, perhaps consider this. It better suits larger wrists man mine but I love the watch.

Thanks. Hadn't come across that one before. Unique, but it doesn't draw me in. And I think at that money I'd go with a Tudor.
I love Tudor, but I love Omega more. Hard to go wrong with a Seamaster 300. I have one (had a few at one time but divested) as well as a Pelagos. They're both great for different reasons. I'd put the Omega as a "dressier" dive watch, while the Tudor tends to give off a more utilitarian vibe.

I tried on the Omega. I did like it alot. Titanium and T-Fit keep pulling me back to Tudor.

There's a couple of Ti models from Omega, namely the No Time to Die which is just exquisite IMO. It's also available with a Ti strap that has infinite adjustment. The standard Omega SS bracelets have a ratchet similar to the Rolex. The T-fit spring action is nice for sure. One knock against the Tudor Ti is that it is (definitely was) a lower grade grade 2 vs grade 5.

I had this watch on my wrist at different ADs multiple times. I just couldn't justify it.

Yes I forgot about the Omega clasp adjust. It was really nice.

I can't do the 007 watch. If I'm spending 5 figures I would do a Sub or a GMT-Master II.

So many choices lol.

I've had nice watches for years, but there really is no way to justify them. Like artwork, you either like it or you don't and it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
Totally agree. I mean justifying getting the 007 version vs. the regular Diver 300. Casio pretty much proved a long time ago that any watch over $100 is jewelry because they can make a sub-$100 watch do literally anything a mechanical watch can do and more.
