The ride up rt6 to Towanda is a doozy. Might bounce off your car.

This has just given me faith that I shouldn't be worried

Roof racks will clamp onto the crossbars somehow, usually wing nuts. Cam buckle straps around the hull and the crossbars strapping them together, bow and stern ropes to somewhere by the bumpers(maybe tow hooks or something). Don't strap the boat to the j racks themselves, make sure you're going around the crossbars. I'm loading mine tomorrow, I'll take a picture. I use saddles instead of j racks but it's otherwise the same.anyway so how do I bring this home it comes with a roof rack so what tools will I need and where should I tie it, how do I protect my car?

Yes PA. If you are in north nj then you'll probably take 84 to Scranton to route 6 to Towanda.
Have you ever tried kayaking? Just curious.
