Videoing your Ride

Someone should offer a video service for the people who do not have cameras and mounts. Offer rates like video + travel, editing and music additional.

Someone should set up shop on this one. It's a killer part-time job.
P.s it would have to be someone who could keep up with anyone on any trail.

You may be surprised how much time goes into the video editing portion of that equation. Two hours of recorded video could be 5 hours of editing. Travel, software, cam, + time.

I'll do a video of your next ride for $500.

Ben speaks the truth, which is why most of us make 2-3 videos then just start slapping raw clips online because it ends up taking forever.

You could look to RonC for this though. He's the next Martin Scorsese.

I once put my camera on for the ride. It was so shaky. Anyway, once I got home and dropped it into Windows movie edit, it wasn't too long. But, crappy overall quality.
Some of the videos I've seen on here are really nice HD vids.

Hour 5, 3minute video =

Along with editing you have to log all of the footage THEN the "rider" or "Talent" will want better shots. "I don't look like that, can you make me look faster?" 😉

There could be a basic video package with limited editing but it would still be so expensive (Like BiknBen said) that nobody would go for it.
Just go buy a GoPro or a Contour and have fun, if you own a Mac you already have a great video editing suite in iMovie. The mini HD cams will run you around $300 and you can shoot whatever you want....whenever you want.
