Passing along for my friend's/Marty's Women's rides.

Now that the spring and cycling season are in full swing we are planning some more women's rides and events to give everyone motivation to get out and ride. 🙂

Next Friday, May 23rd, there will be a women's happy hour ride leaving from Marty's in Morristown at 6pm. The route is approximately 22 miles (see the link below) and the pace will be a more casual 14-15mph. Afterward anyone who is interested can come out for drinks or food at the Iron Bar on South St.

Also May 31st is Specialized Women's Ride Day! We will have two rides both leaving from Marty's in Morristown at 8:30am. There will be a 43 mile intermediate ride similar to the monthly women's intermediate ride, 16mph pace, for more experienced cyclists. There will also be a 23 mile ride geared more toward beginners, the pace on this ride will be around 12-13mph and the route is relatively flat (links to both routes are below and cue sheets will be available). After the rides there will be refreshments back at the shop as well as a flat tire and basic bike maintenance clinic for anyone who is interested.

Marty's Rapha Women's 100k -- Sunday July 20th

From Nikki:

Hi All,

Just a quick reminder that the Rapha Women's 100k is this Sunday, July 20th at 8am leaving from Marty's in Morristown. Just a few notes about the ride:

- We will aim to average around 15 mph and will regroup at the tops of larger climbs and major intersections.
- There will be one planned bathroom/water stop about 30 miles in to the ride.
- There is also a Gran Fondo training ride leaving from Marty's at 8am. We will meet toward the back of the parking lot and we will probably let that group roll out first and then follow shortly behind them
- The bathrooms at the shop will be open if anyone needs to use them before the ride.
- Parking - the lot at Marty's will probably be tough to get a spot in, and the church across the street is no longer allowing parking, so the best bet is to park on Sussex Ave which runs diagonally across from Marty's and has free parking. Also the parking in Morristown is not metered on Sundays, so if you want to find a spot elsewhere in town and ride over that would work too.
- There will be cue sheets provided for anyone who would like one.
