Tubless tire troubleshooting

I went tubless last year and wanted to a little help on maintenance and general repair.
1)First off I wanted to know how often I should add or change the liquid in the tire? How do you know you have enough. The bike has been in the garage for some time now so I am sure evaporation, etc have kicked in. Also, I know these tires are a lot sungger than tubes - any tips on removing them?
2) My front tire seems to have a leak. I spun the tire around and shook it to try and fill and holes but it seems to be another issue. I filled the tire with air and it went flat the next morning so I suspect a sloe leak? Possibly by the valve. How do I confirm this? I cant just stick the tire in a bucket as you would with a tube.

Generally, if you can hear sealant sloshing around in the tire when you shake it, there is enough in there. If it's silent, you need to add more. You can either pop a bead off and add a cupful or use an injector after you take the valve core out.

Slow leaks can be tough. If you don't have enough sealant in there, try adding some first. You can spray soapy water on the valve stem and see if it bubbles up at all.

If you haven't ridden the bike in awhile like you said, maybe a simple ride would slosh the sealant around enough again to seal up the valve again.

+1 on soapy water. If its a small leak you might want to work in sections so it doesnt dry on you. It can take time to find them but you should be able to find it.

it sounds like your sealant dried out over time. Break the bead on one side of the tire and pour in a generous shot glass of Stans. After you pump it back up, the sealant will show you if there are any leaks because it oozes out white.

If you watch the Stans no tubes fitting video there is a couple of tips showing how to get the sealant to coat evenly
