Trailforks App Battery Usage on iPhone

Anyone using Trailforks and an iPhone?

Wondering what your battery usage is.... It seems like I'm getting about 90 minutes out of a full charge and I'm wondering if this is normal.

I have a portable battery strapped into my water bottle cage to provide extra power now, but there has to be a better way!

I quit all other apps when on the trail, I suspect it's the GPS usage that drains the battery, just wondering what others are doing.....

I know, use a Garmin....I tried the 830 and did not care for it... I like the large screen on my phone...

yes, I'm leaving the screen on... I like the mapping ability....

Going to try airplane mode and WiFi and Bluetooth off...see if that helps

It's display power. I keep mine off unless I want to see where I am/get directions.

This is what you need to do to extend your battery life. phone screens are the biggest battery drains around, nothing else will really help you very much
