Thanks Cross Girls....

I just wanted to take a second to thank Stacey, Ellen and Christina for being so supportive and helpful at my first CX race yesterday. I had NO idea what I was doing and you all gave me great advice and support. I learned a lot and when I try it again I will be a bit more comfortable.

I think I like it....in that painful, I am going to barf sort of way😀

And thanks Sherry for my birthday cowbell!! I am an official CX fan now!

Awesome to have you out there with us. If you thought it was painful, then you probably were doing it right. I think female mountain bikers with good fitness can fit into cross quite quickly, although the first time can be confusing. And you seemed to do fantastic....1st place. Nice job! Hope to see you out there again.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but they screwed up the results...I was 5th. I thought we had it straight when I left, but they posted the wrong results. I emailed them and I am sure the girls that are after the points in the series will let them know!

Glad that you had a good time, Ruth!
You were RIGHT behind me, way to go!!!!!!! lol

Regarding the results, I can understand the confusion that ensued as a result of girls getting lapped, especially if they were lapped two times.

That being said, everyone figured it out at the end and all was well. It happens, no big deal.

What I don't understand is how the results were then improperly published and improperly reported to USA Cycling. There really is no excuse for that, is there? Maybe I'm wrong....

It was a fun race with some interesting twists....LITERALLY. I felt a little dizzy my third time through the death spiral.
