This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

All jokes aside, as a banker, this is downright scary. Some of you mother lovers don’t realize how close we are to making 2008/9 look like a Bull Market. My office amazes me daily. If our politicians play politics for another week the virus will be the least of our concern.

Health care workers describe grim reality of coronavirus response

Healthcare workers have to go against everything they were ever taught about protecting themselves because there's no PPE, and this fat orange slob wants everything to go back to normal? Our healthcare system is really going to collapse, cause when all is said and done, half the healthcare workers will be dead, and the other half are gonna quit.

Don’t worry, no one will be able to afford it.

Arizona man dies after ingesting chloroquine in an attempt to prevent coronavirus.

There are no drugs approved to try to prevent or treat the new coronavirus. Self-medicating to prevent the coronavirus can be dangerous and possibly deadly.

True dat. Just did my healthcare open enrollment for the non calendar year beginning May 1 (WTF?) and as you select options it tallies up your cost pre tax. LOL I had to laugh so I wouldn’t cry, musta had the text on the page wrong (I hope) final tally said my cost $368.77/day. This gotta be per pay, right? Still TFM...

Self medicating with Tanqeray now. A lil splash o tonic and I get my quinine too!

Not that this is a good situation, but we should be thankful that this is not like smallpox where three of every ten people that were infected died. That is some scary stuff considering that if something like that were to happen again, we still would not have a vaccine for a year or more. Between 300-500,000,000 deaths in the 20th century. Crazy.

I dont know about that...I mean my wife is cleaning and reusing her masks with bleach, she still signed up for an extra shift this week just so she didnt have to teach kindergarten to my son 🙂 Going to take a little more than mask washing to make her quit. I think the large majority of health care workers have gripes like we all do about the places we work, but its not going to stop them from doing their jobs.

I mean in 15 years that she has been in the ER, she has almost never had to get suited up like this.....Its obviously a big adjustment, and they have gone from almost never wearing masks to everyone needing one every 10 minutes...there was 0 chance there was not going to be at least a temporary shortage. Yes, next time they will plan for this better and that planning will cost us and we will bitch about it.

The ER is for a different breed of nurse, whole different mentality. You couldn't pay me enough to reuse the same 'one time use' mask all day.

Hey @UtahJoe ask your wife if shes getting hazard pay. My wife says Alantic Health is one of the last holdouts not paying hazard pay.
