This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

When you get an email from the boss and you start fantasizing about some time off only to open and find an outline of Osha's safe hygiene practices. FML work as usual unless you have a fever . Fixing gas stations suck I really need to update my resume.

here's another idea the Israelis are floating to help understand/contain the spread: from NYT

"The idea is to sift through geolocation data routinely collected from Israeli cellphone providers about millions of their customers in Israel and the West Bank, find people who came into close contact with known virus carriers, and send them text messages directing them to isolate themselves immediately."

leave your cell phones at home if you don't want big bro knockin' wit some low-cost test kits fo you arse.

Efficient, you provided the solution and the cheat for the solution at the same time...

On a positive note, I just received a replacement Bondhus T9 t-handle torx wrench that I accidentally lost while assembling Elma. The fact that I lost it right before this whole madness started points to it as the most likely root cause for this pandemic, and as part of a complete set the missing wrench was really upsetting to me in addition to have moved the world out of balance. I also needed it to set the pinch screw on the adjustment ring on the cinch crankset (its only use I am aware of so far, other than collapsing entire nation economies and cause immense grieve). As a result of the set being whole once again world balance has been restored and we should be able to get back to normal soon.

I should really pay more attention to where I put my tools. Sorry.

Some seem to think this won't get that bad. I think they should put their shirts over their faces and go to the nearest hospital when it starts getting overwhelmed to help take care of these patients.

We were talking about this at work today. The people who are most affected by inability to work at home, are the ones who least likely can cope with it.

I doubt most restaurant workers have a ton of money banked for being out of work for awhile.

The unsettling point is the potential lack of understanding this virus, under-reporting, and those still hanging in public/groups. This article states actual cases in a given locale are reported x 50. That's huge.
