This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

It's killed 17/1000 of the people that caught it although we could double the
number of people who caught it because it makes us feel better, so 8/1000.

All those people chose to get covid? I haven't seen anyone lining up for it.

Jim isn't wrong if you do group rides go to family holiday your choosing to take a risk. If you don't want covid you're more conservative with your choice, you're not going out to eat you sanitize your hands.

Kinda like going to McDonald's, you want bad food you have to accept the side effects.

Don't forget ppl were having covid parties

No. But it is a choice. Like anything else. If you willingly expose yourself to the Public, you're willing to catch Covid, by choice. If they said the McRib was made out of Covid it wouldn't stop a single person from Ordering it.

I guess you guys are right. Makes me think the people in this country are just way dumber than I originally thought.
OTOH, a good percentage of the dead were folks in nursing homes. Their days may be numbered anyway, but I'm sure they didn't make the choice to put themselves at risk. Healthcare workers didn't exactly get to choose either, yet plenty of them are dead.

You only live once. Might as well go to covid parties and eat Mc Rib sandwiches.

Covid parties have a 100% survival rate, wonder what McRib stats are? Somebody that has more free time than me please find out.

It has nothing to do with "making us feel better" 17/1000 is simply factually incorrect. So is 8/1000. 4/1000 or less is closer to the actual number.

no its not. unless you are on dialysis.
and 0.4% mortality rate is still on the suck side.
you really think 25% of the population has been infected?
(i think i flubbed the math there - meaning 4x the confirmed rate)

@rick81721 & @Patrick

cite your sources for the how many its killed claim (i may have missed it in here, but the 17/1000 seems high from what iv been hearing/seeing in the news, maybe 17/1000 that get hospitalized?!?!?)
