Just based on my own observations of unvaccinated eligible adults, which is admittedly not a large or random sampling.

I truly am curious as to why people are still holding off.
 
I think it has a lot to do with “ do as I sa not as I do” and lots of mixed messages coming from the top.
Sturgis rally bad- Celebrities dancing the night away at a Birthday bash good!
People dancing at a beach bar Knuckle heads-your buddy Bruce going to said bash above good!
Leader being caught on video during a staged mask photo up unmasked except during the 2 minute photo shoot!
Right or wrong it gives people reason for doubt!

not to mention that at this time last year, many prominent democrat politicians where saying that there is no way a vaccine could be safely made in 8 months or there is no way they'd take a vaccine made under the Trump administration.

i dont see why the administration in charge has anything to do with the vaccine, they arent making it, private industry is . . . I also believe that the people in charge of approval are not appointed positions so they dont change with administration (if im wrong on this please correct me)

People are idiots. I've mentioned my wife's co-worker who is now home from the hospital on oxygen. Dr's say he'll be on oxygen for at least another 2 weeks. He spends his days fighting with the state about their screwed up disability insurance. He's received $80k in bills so far (has insurance, so no big deal).

YET, he still tells my wife he probably won't get vaccinated because he doesn't think it's safe. WTF.

I agree with you, but the pandemic got politicized a long time ago.

Here's another parallel. Way back when I was in skool, there were a bunch of studies on pricing and market adoption.
There is no price component to getting the vaccine, but the percentages are interesting.
Remember the slope of the adoption curve is the rate of new adopters. This goes back a few pages to Max mentioning the curve
looks like the immediate need was met.

My understanding is that the government is footing the bill for much of this. So, I'm not sure that statement is entirely accurate. Both this & the previous administration have/had their hands in this. And this is for good reason because the insurance companies always do everything they can to fuck the users.

ok so the govt is funding the devlopment, its still private companies that are doing the work and they are footing the liability (this is the way pretty much every govt contract is written) so they want it to be safe and effective (if for no other reason than to protect themselves from lawsuits). Hence no reason that the administration in charge effects the formulation of or contents of the vaccine. These conspiracy theory nutjobs are getting out of hand.
