Haven’t you people heard? Coronavirus is over. At least here in NY. But only if you got vaccinated. All’s well that ends well.

We had a little uptick in daily vaccinations when 12-15 opened up, but now heading down again

I'll play double devils advocate. If a private business refuses to serve someone because of race, gender identification, or other personal characteristic, isn't that discrimination? Why is choosing to not wear a mask different? ( by the way, I'll wear a mask if the people in the store are...)
My 18 year old son had his 1st dose of Moderna this week with only a sore arm and fatigue. The fatigue is normal with him staying up all night on YouTube, Xbox and his PC and playing basketball.
Got this email today....was momentarily excited, but then I realized i live in NJ and were the only state not following cdc guidelines
if you are fully vaccinated (e.g., you received the final dose at least two weeks ago) AND you work in xxxxxx facility where the state government is currently following the CDC’s guidance:
- You are not required to wear a mask
- You are not required to practice social distancing
- You are not required to undergo temperature checks
I went into the office in NYC for the first time since 3/11/2020. Luckily, I found a parking spot at the train stationGot this email today....was momentarily excited, but then I realized i live in NJ and were the only state not following cdc guidelines

my wife drove into the city for the first time today in over a year...apparently they raised the parking garage in her building with "I work in the building discount" from $45 a day to $80...she prob won't be going back in in our own car.I went into the office in NYC for the first time since 3/11/2020. Took BoxCar bus, which is a private line. 50% max capacity. It was probably 40% full. The office building still requires face masks in the lobby and elevators, but once on our floor, my firm is going with the new guidelines of if you're fully vaxed, no masks at all. The trading floor was probably 60% capacity. Several lunch places I used to go to are boarded up. One of the mega-delis that usually has 6 registers going at once with a line of 5-10 people was completely empty. The sidewalks were empty in midtown.
We went to dinner at Grand Banks, and then to a bar after however, and it was business as usual. Uber arrived within 4 minutes, and the ride home took 32 minutes. I'm back in 2 days next week, then 3 days a week going forward.
% of people driving into the city is way higher now than it was pre-Covid. So it makes sense all the parking decks are crowded.my wife drove into the city for the first time today in over a year...apparently they raised the parking garage in her building with "I work in the building discount" from $45 a day to $80...she prob won't be going back in in our own car.

Suddenly everything is a hockey game.So my daughters dance recital is tomorrow at the Thunder stadium, where you need to wear masks in the concourse area. Apparently last week the younger kids had a recital and a few parents refused to oblige to this rule and make a "stink" and were removed from the recital by security. lol

New Jersey is expected to lift its indoor mask mandate in one week, no longer leaving the Garden State the lone tri-state holdout on the new CDC indoor mask guidelines, a source within the governor’s office said Friday. The news of Gov. Phil Murphy’s decision to drop the mandate comes as an...www.nbcnewyork.com
