Things that make you smile :)

What was a frown, became a smile. Only a few blocks from my house on a ride. 9am, front flasher light, bright wind jacket. Made a right turn at a 4 way stop. To the left, saw a Boro police vehicle coming to the intersection with the station up ahead in the direction I was now going.

With cars parked on both sides of street, I see an approaching Prius with NY plates and we're going to pass between the cars. I move far enough to the right to prevent getting doored and assumed the Prius would let up a bit and safely pass. Obviously he didn't notice the stealthy Ford Explorer behind me. Instead he sped up and passed within arms length from me. I moved slight right and stuck my arm out.

After he passed the police vehicle, the officer chirped his horn to me and pulled along side and asked did he do something to me? I said he passed to close. NJ now has a 4ft passing law and he was well inside of that. Officer said got it, I'm going to go get him. Thanks. Continued on ride.
 
Met someone in Basto parking lot today that only rode the orange loop. I said, if you want to follow I have a 24 mile loop I named the White Rabbit it is white, blue and orange. The name of the song I had listened to that day by Jefferson Airplane. David and I rode it conversational pace. I wanted to stay in zones 2 & 3 for fat burning. Always glad to show someone around that is not familiar with the area. He was 10 years younger and more fit but he enjoyed the flat pinelands.
