Things that make you go Wow 😲

Libtards? Well that’s very telling….
Simple math for someone that uses that term.
1) AR/AK’s make people more efficient at killing each other. Do you contest this fact?
2) there will always be mentally ill people in a given population. Do you contest this fact?
3) as long as AR/AK’s are easy to get, mentally ill people will attain them to act out on their illness. How about this fact, any argument?

Now the math part…
Easy gun access = more mentally ill people will get guns.
More mentally ill people getting guns = more school shootings.
Thus if you are pro gun access, you are pro school shootings.
Guns+ill people=school shootings
For 99% of the people in this country, guns are a hobby. Sadly, when ill people get guns, they hurt people. Pro gun access = pro school shootings. Own it.

This argument is basically no different than saying the people who support the selling of alcohol, by logical extension, promote husbands beating their wives. Point by point you can make the same argument.

Does more alcohol make you a more efficient wife beater? I know guns make you a more efficient killer.I guess you could say gun nuts and alcoholics could both be lumped into groups that are should think about seeking help for their problems. Had a neighbor when I lived in Fort Lee that collected guns and Hitler stuff. Loved to show it off. His wife left him and he painted the ceiling with the back of his head.. the bullet didn’t stop at the back of his head, it went through the ceiling and planted its self in a chair of a little girl that lived above him. Thank god for small favors. Shortly after that I destroyed my Colt CAR 15. Guns that shoot through walls are not a good idea for home defense in co op buildings. I still wouldn’t use an AR/AK for home defense now that I have a house, I would be afraid shooting through my house and into my neighbors house. I wouldn’t want to be that guy.

The shitty logic continues. Does alcohol turn you into an abusive spouse? In a lot of cases it (substance abuse in general) actually does, there’s precedent. Does owning a gun turn you into a murderer? Wouldn’t really be many of us left if that were true. FWIF, I fully support you destroying your weapons, one less idiot with a gun.

And you’re also saying responsible gun owners should seek help, am I getting that right? Because they have problems? Can’t wait to hear what those problems are professor, please, tell us

Well, he did say gun NUTS, not gun owners. And if you've met a true Gun Nut, I think most could use some therapy.

Thank you, you got it. I always wonder about limits, how many cats does a woman need to own to be a ā€œcrazy cat ladyā€ ? Is there such a thing as a ā€œcrazy dog personā€, if so how many dogs are required? I used to be a car nut, what’s a car nut? I spent over 20k turboing a 1990 integrate. I put a 440ci 4 speed in a 1975 duster. I hung a supercharger on a 2003 civic and spent huge amounts of money making it handle….. now my daily drive a 2016 z51 vette 7 speed, no need to mod it, 465hp in a 3450lb car is scary. The car cured my car habit. I loved the puzzle of making a car better. These people that identify as ā€œgun people ā€œ, maybe they should find a different hobby.

Wow, you cured yourself. Good for you skippy. Would you like your statue made of bronze or chiseled out of marble, like your steely cold resolve?

The avoidance of difficult questions continues.

"Does more alcohol turn you into a more efficient wife beater?"

or

"I hate to say it, this is shift that I just don’t think about, never mind researching. I spend my days thinking about things other than why people kill themselves, or the unfairness of the (mtbnj posters that disagree with me)" Therefore, this give me permission to attack the poster and use bad language. Amirite motherfucker?

Congratulations! You found someone else to have a circle-jerk with!

Sorry, I won’t. I consider myself to be a responsible gun owner, keep them safely away, and haven’t shot up any schools. Now I noticed scott62 talking about fast cars that he owned, did he drive them safely within the speed limits? How many here are guilty of driving after a few? There are so many examples of what we do that endangers others. Now I’m going to get back atop my soapbox and bring back prescription drugs. Everyone figures that it’s exceptable because they are prescribed by doctors. If you take prescribed meds, do you research the side effects or their possible interactions with other drugs or foods you eat??? How many people are on antidepressants and still drink or drive kids around??? It’s easy to focus on guns and it cracks me up when everyone hates AR style rifles calling them assault rifles. They are just semi-auto rifles that look like military rifles. How many drive Hummers because they looked like military vehicles, and don’t get started on Jeeps. People will like what they like, I would say the energy spent arguing here would be better spent researching the effects of drugs on mental health At the end of the day we are cyclists, let’s try to be civil with one another.

I mean we do have the 4th lowest deaths by fire arms in the nation.....and while NJ is known for having stricter gun laws...its not like you CANT get an AR15, or a semi auto rifle, or semi auto pistol, or former military M1 garand.....Its not like guns are abolished in this state...(im not anti guns, im just anti crazy people having access to them to what extent thats preventable). Granted NJ has laws against magazine capacities, but 10 rounds can still shoot alot of people, and its pretty easy to swap a magazine in an AR.

I think reading up on this a little further....14% of NJ residents own guns compared to 66% in Montana..... 1/2 of the deaths are usually by suicide...which you would think would mean....this person used a gun they had easy access too rather than going to the store, buying one and waiting a while. So I do think it is some combination of guns just not being "around" as much or as easily here as they are in some other place. I dont know...I dont think its so bad...guys like @Frank can still go shooting...other guys I know who do competitions where they pretend they are navy seals can still do that.....yet, I think in general, it would be much harder for a unhinged mass shooter to do here what has been done around the country.

This is my point…..what is driving people to this state of mind? They will cause damage by any means, guns, knives, swords, or bombs. We are just like bad parents….rather than address bad behavior, we take away the toys. I’m asked about my mental state by my oncologist constantly, and I’m not on any meds that would cause me to go off. How many folks on this forum can safely say they are not on any mind altering drugs….you may be and not be aware of it. Look at the drug commercials, they are not advertising them…..they are public disclaimers.

How many marriages have been strained by the n+1 bike philosophy? I think we collectively need to see Dr. Wong from Rick and Morty. And the research much not stop, there is much important work to do, like entertain me between meetings.

Taking the bullshit Google research one step further, there are supposedly 25-50 serial killers active at any given time in the US. To me, the only difference between serial killers and mass shooters is that mass shooters do their killing all at once and make the news.

Didn’t need those 468 people anyway, I’m sure they were all bad people and if not, guns are cool so screw them.šŸ‘

This disingenuous concern you and your ilk have for everyone else in society is what pegs the bullshit meter so hard. I mean, what would we all do without the likes of you, and by extension the government, to lookout for us all?
