Outback ride in the carlton reserve. Nothing of consequence until I flew around a sharp turn and a big raccoon was in the middle of the trail. Slammed on the brakes and he raised up, growled and charged me. Never saw that behavior before. I may have screamed like a school girl but luckily no witnesses.

Be careful Rick, if he's out during the day he could very well be rabid. They're nocturnal critters usually only time you see them in the day is when they're rabid.

yea what he said, especially the charging you part, they typically just scurry away in my experience encountering them.

That's exactly what I thought. Even after he/she ran into the bush just a few feet off the trail, it stayed there growling and hissing. Needless to say I did the cycling version of this

1st ride in a while, I'm going through some personal shit at work that is really upsetting and making me physically ill.

This has been going on for a while, but the situation got bad just before Christmas. After agonizing about it and not figuring out a solution, with encouragement from Mrs. Oleg I resigned from a very good job. But if you don't stand up for something, you will fall for anything.
