Phatty is back after getting a new crankset. Miss the sound of the fat tires roaring down the trail and road. I discovered a small technical trail on the other side of town. Started out easy enough and with nice scenery along the Goffle Brook, then became a rock crawl/hop to make it out as well as a swampy area to muscle through. Who thought some minor exploration was possible in Ridgewood? Bottom pic is what appears to be a failed dam. There were crews out dredging in the immediate area trying to repair the damage done by storms(what storms specifically, not sure). Made it back just before the rain came. I love it when a plan comes together.

The season for dry fronts coming thru - not bringing rain this far south but wreaking havoc with the wind. Northwest today

So, I had some pretty significant personal stuff happen this week that kind of made riding not seem very important at the time. In hind sight, making time to ride probably would have helped with a lot of it. Anyways, here is a ride! Would have liked to go longer but the wind was drying my contacts out.

Bonus Point - dirt.
Everyone was groggy starting out this morning with the daylight savings time. Ringwood is getting busy as the weather is warming up. Ran into the crew from Town Cycle and rode with them for a while. Split off at the top of white to go to IIgenstein Rock. Ran into @JerseyPete on the way down the white trail as well as various other familiar faces. Forgot to take pics but didn’t take away from simply enjoying the ride.
