Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I've not been able to find it...

Anybody know what's up with mtn biking and South Mountain Reservation? i saw something on the JORBA website that said there was a proposal to open SMR to bikes on a trial basis (because JORBA helped organize an effort to clean up some of their trails after a couple of bad storms)...but have not been able to find any additional info or follow-up. Anyone know?

You are right, it is very confusing. I had the impression MTB's had access by permit only on a trial basis, as trails were built, but that does not seem to be the truth. Does anyone know what the facts are?
 
mtbs still not allowed but no patrol whatsoever.
Check out the TM on the first Sunday morning of every month. Great things are happening due to a relatively small number of dedicated bikers/hikers.
