Solar Energy

Anyone know a company who is thinking about or would be a good candidate for installing solar panels? If it turns into a sale I would consider a finder's fee.

We can do any size install. Flat roof, pitched roof, ground arrays. Different contract options are available too some costing the company no money at all.

I'm focused on commercial but can help residential customers as well. Sorry, no finders fee for residential though.

PM for any more info.

Thanks!

Can you outline some of the costs and practical considerations for a residential installation. I ask the question here because I'm sure many are interested and would love to hear how practical it may be for their house.

Yes good idea. What is this jazz about selling credits and what have you. If I generate more power than I use, can I profit off of it? Arent there some loans and grants for adding panels to your home to help cover the cost?

A friend of mine uses solar energy and another friend of mine is waiting for state approval(?) to begin installation. My house is perfect the way it sits and I am at a high point of the town with virtually no obstruction whatsoever. Gimme some scoop.

Well, I do commercial but can tell you some basics. Hope this info helps! Shoot me a PM if you want more info and I'll do my best to get it to you.

- There is a state rebate of $0.75/W (you might install something like 6900 W)
- The Fed gives a 30% Tax credit
- As you generate power you earn SRECs (Solar Renewable Energy Certificates) which you then sell on the open market. They no longer buy energy back into the grid but you will profit from selling SRECs
- From what I understand in NJ break even can be reached in 3 years (keep in mind this changes for everyone)

I work for a company in Kenilworth that has a huge flat roof and we have shitty town power! my boss has no interest in being green tho but I bet if there was a good reason (IE: saving money...) he'd go green! Another rational would be to gain more reliable power but I know home solar power shuts off when town power shuts off...
