I am 6ft tall and ride the same size cross bike as I do Road. No real reason to size down on any bike. You want to fit your cross bike, as others, primarily based on Top Tube length.

Crud. Can you cheat and run a shorter stem like on a Mtb? I'm 5'10 and ride a 56 road but I bought it used and was never fitted.

Dave, everyone is different. if you are close and are interested, swing a leg over it. Maybe run a shorter stem.

Not saying I'm right, but for example,
I ride a 52cm Ridley CX Bike, 56cm Road bike, Jay says I should be on a 58. :hmmm:

All true and good comments. I was running a 130mm stem on this bike when I raced it. I put a smaller stem on for the sale as you can see from the pictures. You are welcome to check it out and give it a ride.
