Rockshox Fork Upgrade/Hack

I have a RS SID RL 32mm 100 travel with Charger 2.0
The other fork is RD Reba 32mm 150 travel with Motion Control.

2 questions
1. Can I swap the damper between the two? Would like to have the charger on the Reba.
2. Are all RS 32 stanchion air spring pretty much the same other than length? I want to decrease the travel on the Reba to 120 but I can't seem to find that is specific to the Reba. All I see is air springs for SID.

The reason for all this is that the SID barely clears a 2.6 29er. Reba has pretty enough room. Also would like a 120. travel.

32mm tubes? Just say no…imo, anything under 34mm is a no go. The new Sid’s are 35mm….

You can if you swap the damper and air shaft together. I'm running a Reba lower leg assembly on a 100mm SID everything else.

Damn... I think the air shaft is too short to install a 150 Reba lower on a 100 SID upper

Tried pulling on it and that's it.

Damper side. Unbolt it from the bottom so the fork can extend as far as it'll go.

Took off the bolt and loosened it. Won't move any further.

It should pull down to 150mm without the Cartridge attached so you did something wrong.

Isn't the damper longer than the air shaft side?

While I can't deny I did something wrong, I measured the lower legs and the Reba is longer than the SID. It would make sense to me that this hack with the forks I am using would not work.

The damper isn't longer if it's the 100mm one. So if you just disconnect it you can see if the fork is capable of going to 150mm.
