Robot Lords of Tokyo, SMILE TASTE KITTENS!

i cant tonight, taking a rest day today...but i might go tomorrow if im out of work on time.

anyhow, i go under the stairs..theres a little couch and pseudo climbing area there that is always empty so you arent in the way and little kids arent running everywhere.

start with 40 to 50 leg lifts, lying on my back with my arms at my waist.

then ill grab one of the weights lying around there and do sets of 10 - lifting my legs and torso (leaving just my butt/lower back on the ground) while holding the weight above the top of my head....they hurt pretty good i can get 4 to 5 sets in if i take it slowly.

side planks are good to work the obliques, 30 seconds each side to start.

thats the basic thing i do, with some rest inbetween. sometimes ill add or change up an exercise...but you get the idea.

This has to be the weirdest nutritional thread ever. Jumping from healthy eating, to biking, to zombie conventions to zombie break-dances and eventually a life-story about a fake bloodninja. Makes my head hurt, but gives me the 'giggles' carry on.

I did the rock gym after work with Dad (not my Dad, trail dad).
I see improvements, and weird muscles hurt all over. I want to go riding with the locals at the royal hunting grounds tonight but stupid Utah is making me put a transmission in his car instead.

the way you ride, we will burn more calories installing the trans. 🙂

Besides, im paying for your services with jose's!

Ok so we froze our asses off, but I do owe luke big time for helping me get my new trans in my saturn. As well as Nate and Steve. My big garage is badly in need of a big heater.

Yeah what a dick, I haven't had to do that bullshit since I had to change engines and transmissions out in the snow on box trucks that wouldn't fit through the garage door at gary's.
I even put on my Lake's and my feet were still frozen solid.

I just noticed that a new rock climbing gym opened up in Summit. It is on Watchung Ave going towards Chatham just past where you turn for River Road. I don't know if it is any good though. Since you've been climbing a bit I thought it might be worth mentioning 🙂

That's cool. When I get bored of the place I'm at I'll surely check out the other places. I have a 3 month membership there now so I'm stuck for a while 🙂
I climbed a lot today, felt good.
Made Eileen almost choke to death laughing at dinner too.

Did some climbing yesterday, did some horrible stationary bike on Saturday.
Today I overslept like CRAZY. Got to work and remembered I was supposed to be helping with a formal test here. Since there is an outside engineer overviewing the test there are fresh super jew bagels here (omg omm nom nom) and we'll surely get some lunch.
So far I have held out and not eaten a bagel. I want one so bad 🙁
I had a big bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.

I was there last Friday night. It's a sister gym to the Gravity Vault in Ramsey. It's got some good stuff with a nice bouldering wall, lots of TR of course and a few different good lead lines. It was good to check out. Still has that brand new smell 🙂

Wow, okay progress.
I went for a solo ride today, at the royal hunting ground. first in a long while where I can set my pace and distance.
First of all, the mud and leaves and slush were ridiculous on the fire roads. I was going down some hills, the kind of hill where you would normally ride your brakes, but instead my bike slows to a halt while pointed down this hill. I wasn't leaving big tracks in the ground, it was mostly micro gravel surfaces where this would happen. It was a total energy stealing whore! I stopped twice to make sure my brakes weren't jammed or something.
Even with that, I hammered away for a solid 4 hours. Garmin says 3 but that's with the autopause thingy that seems to go on and off at random.
Distance: 18.85 mi
Elevation Gain: 2,154 ft

Interesting notes on today's ride.
With an hour left my light flashed a strobe at me, giving me a god damn heart attack. I think it's a warning on the battery life.
As I'm leaving the trail I came out right in front of a County Cop. I had my ipod on and didn't stop and rode RIGHT past him, the K-9 in the car was barking like crazy. He didn't follow me, I was getting out of the trail and headed down a road. Guess he didn't care, I don't know if he asked me to stop or not though 🙂
About 5 minutes later my bluetooth headphones died, first time I killed those on a single ride.
About 1/8th mile from my house my light went into limp mode, down to a very dim level. First time I ever killed my light battery on a single ride.
I expored a LOT of area I hadn't bothered to check out before. No great finds though.

Also, I'm not getting any lighter according to my scale, slightly but I don't know how accurate the % body fat thing is on my costco scale but aparently I went from 33%+ last month to now 25%
Is that possible? That sounds likee a lot for about a month's work.

how accurate the % body fat thing is on my costco scale

In general measuring body fat % is very inaccurate. Even the most precise measurements are an estimate and usually give you a range within 3-4% All of the scales that give you a body fat % will be affected by your hydration levels. It sends electrical current through you and the idea is that the current goes faster through muscle and slower through fat, but dehydration can cause it to read a higher body fat %.
