Heading down to Rehoboth Beach DE for a long weekend and looking for some road routes if anyone can help me out. Thanks!!!

I'm of no help, but will be spending a week in July a bit south of Rehoboth. So I'm interested in this as well. If you end up doing any good rides be sure to post them up!

its not riding related, but i go to Dewey every summer, the town south of Rehoboth. If you like Mexican food, go check out Dos Locos. it's good.

We got another recco for that place as well. Its on the list!

Is it safe to assume you'll be visiting Dogfish Head brewery. 😀

You assume correct!

FWIW mapmyride has a good assortment of rides. I guess for the couple of days we're down there it should suffice. Just was wondering if there was anything special down there.

Ride directly to Dogfish Head, and stay there. Dont ride after.

Thats my advise. Report on whats on tap! Hopefully, the Randalizer is there when you visit.

Rehobeth is the perfect place when you get tired of New Hope. US 1 between Dewey and Fenwick Island is AWESOME!

I'm glad my mom retired to lewes. Dfh is always a must visit. Let me know of any good routes, cause I plan on bringing my roadie down someday. It just looks all featureless so I want to get a garmin. Roads appear so nice down there. Just got to worry about all the retirees running you off the shoulder

Unfortunately for me it was to warm to wear my famed shoe covers. We did have a car full of guys tell us we looked hot!

A quick low down on the road riding:

If you are staying in Rehoboth you need to head north on 1. From there you need to head west. The roads on the east side of 1 lead to dead ends and residential neighborhoods.

There is ZERO elevation. The roads are pancake flat. But they are smooth as glass. Oh and there is a bit of wind. And some cows. Cows are fun. The roads are low traffic and even fewer cars the further away from the shore you get. If you plan on getting too far away you should plan to bring enough food. Gas stations and food stops are few and far in between.

You can get lost and ride forever. It was good for me as I was looking for some easy riding. But the flat roads will allow to put it in a big gear.

Ill put up some gps links soon.
