replacement for my storm damaged beach cruisers?

woulda got one in florida when visiting, but they don't stock em...cheaper than renting a madone.....oh, wasn't really interesting in riding road and getting rolled over by the seniors...

I think I mentioned this in the other thread, swapping tires and tubes is like 10pounds. That's not hard. Also, swapping out for a larger cog isn't hard. If you really wanted to get a shop to face the BB down to 100mm and run DH cranks. What are we talking $500 total now. Swap out the saddle and bar for what you have in your bin. Just go ape shit drilling out the rim. That's what I would if I had time. I would just use $200 cash back from my freedom card for the bike itself. I wouldn't be surprised if they or any other dept store push out a "better" fatbike.
 
Very tempting for a clunker, I am sure if I ever go into a Walmart I will pick one up though, my 70's ten speed is in desperate need of wheels, a freewheel, and tires.
