General question for all out there. Though I'd just piggyback off this. In the state of NJ is it req'd that you get a home inspection before buying?

Nope. The inspections are relatively cheap though and well worth it considering how much you are investing.

Im just asking cause it seemed so. Not debating if I should or not. But I really think could have found everything he did. Not joking. Test everything. And if your potential house has permits that is a gimme.

but depending on what type of conditiom you buy I think you can put your money elsewhere like a chimney and electrician inspection. Which I had done too. Altho the inspector spotted the aluminum wiring and thankfully we got a freebie on the electician cause he is family.
