Hope we can ride the Hook together again this winter.

Damn Pete, thoughts and prayers from me and my family. I have not been riding much lately, or even on here , or I would reacted sooner. Its folks like you that make this world a little more fun to be a part of. I'm sure I'll see you around Wayway once I get the chance to get back out.

I’ve been putting up with a painful knee for a few weeks now, gets better, gets worse. Made an appointment with my orthopedic DR 2 days ago, they saw me today, 2 days later. Great response time. Turns out I had fluid on the knee and they could fix it right away. I got “da big needle” and they drew off FOUR large vials, and leaving the needle in they then injected steroids to fix it up.
These doctors are the best! High Mountain Orthopedics.

Did a nice 19 mile Labor Day ride.
I rode down the mountain to Shoprite for a cheap coffee break, $1 coffee $1 donut.
Stopped at the 911 memorial, and then did the main ride through town to Clinton road and home.
Some nice sounding corvettes on Clinton road. A dirt bike passing a car, both coming towards me.
Took a photo of some flowers along the road through my Teleidoscope.

Not much new here, except I rode the new Black Eagle trail extension this week. I enjoyed it, kinda flowy.
Frose my ass off this morning, rode 24 miles. Started out at 7AM, 36°, headed south, 10 miles later it was 47°.
Came back north and temp dropped again to 37°. I was underdressed.
Warmed up around noon so I went for my hike in Wawayanda, 70° and I worked up a sweat, doing only 1.7 miles.
Stopped on the way home for a whiskey. Funny how times change, 25 people in the bar and only one with cash on the bar. (me)

Looks like I'm done for a while, bad swollen knee giving me trouble.
I had it drained a few months ago and now it's bad again, swollen and painful.
Problem with riding is my leg is too swollen to make a rotation, it don't bend enough.
I rode 2 miles two days ago and quit, I did a mile walk the other day thinking I could do that
because the leg doesn't have to bend as much. No good, I suffered again. Have an appointment Monday
with the orth. Dr, waiting to see what they recommend. I have a 37 year old friend that gets his knee drained twice a year.
I have a wood stove and some good books I can reread.
