Raceface Cinch (direct mount chainring) bashguard options

So my bike doesn’t have the ISCG tabs where I can mount a bashguard. Anyone else have experience with alternatives - BB mounted/chainring mounted etc.? Any preferences?
With some recent riding and hopping I’ve been doing I could really use one.

I installed a BB to ISCG05 adapter on all my bikes (minus the Knolly that came with the mounts already). I've used the MRP adapter with no issues, it goes bewteen the BB right cup and the frame in place of the spacer (or one of the spacers if you have a 68mm frame.

Also, past conversation about said type of adapters.
