Post Your Doggo [woof]

So we acquired two new fosters this week. They are about a year old, unfixed siblings, maybe Jack Russell or Min Pin based? They are very sweet, goofy and a little bit shy. Both are fine with our three dogs although one likes Luna better and the other likes Ellie more. Super athletic but also couch potatoes and always looking for pets. I'd say like 95% housebroken, funny the brown faced one didn't want to get wet so he pooped under the porch today. Fair enough. If interested contact me or Cold Nose Warm Heart rescue.
Cheers!

The post-“I just rolled in something that smells like death while you left me unattended in the yard bath” look.

Immediately before I made this discovery I got a text from the Mrs (who has just picked up both kids) saying “we’re all hangry”

lol starting the weekend with a bang!

Going back a couple of weeks-
Chip FAFO’ed

One of our neighbors breeds huskies.
Beautiful pups and he does well with them- very well behaved and docile.
(This is a very good thing)

Wonderpup HATES them, probably because everyone in the equation is alpha.
Always does the full body barks when they walk by, just wanting to kill them.

Well things aligned and he had his chance and took it. He was unleashed in the yard when they came walking past.
He threw down on a pack of 4 of them.
The 2 in the rear of the pack handled the threat.
First one grabbed his head in his mouth and flipped him over in the air. Then the second one grabbed his body in his mouth, but didn’t pick him up.

As I said, these are well trained and behaved dogs.
This is all he came away with (and similar marks on the other side). IMG_4067.jpeg

Despite being entirely coated in husky saliva when I was checking him out, there were no other puncture wounds.

Very fortunate they were content with sending him a message and not killing him. And very fortunate they missed his eyes.

Other than a sore neck for about a week, he is none the wiser for it.
Barked like crazy at the next husky he saw.

Worked on getting him back with other dogs as soon as we could so he doesn’t lose his socialization.

He’s doing just fine

That’s terrifying but as you stated it’s clear those huskies are well trained and mannered because they simply gave him a moderate correction.

It goes without saying just one of those dogs could have gravely injured or ended Chip if it wanted to.

Hope he recovers well. The deer probably
Won’t try to but him tho. 🤪

Glad for the low impact consequences, afte all 2 x half wonderpups is just not the same same as 1 whole wonderpup...

Not surprised of his relapse, Bailey L. was extremely well behaved toward cars after her attack to one failed miserably (both for her and my wallet)...but it only lasted about a month.
