Took the WTB Volt off my Switchblade and put it on the Tallboy. Originally replaced the Pivot saddle due to creaks, but I took it apart and greased up the rails where they went into the plastic shell. Got about 3 rides on the SB with the pivot saddle and the creak is back. Done with that, had to order another Volt.

Does Pivot still use the Vigo saddle from WTB?

Is the volt really good budget saddle. Where do you generally buy it from? On Amazon its like $40 but on eBay I see them as low as 25, makes me wonder if they are knock-offs.
 
You guys are frustrating me. I have a Volt that has no tears, feels great, titanium rails yet is creaking like crazy. I can't believe I'm going to have to swap to a new saddle because of creaks.

I've been pushing WTB saddles for years because i love the fit and generally most MTB'ers will find one that works too. However I finally gave up because I got sick of chasing the creak form the ti railed saddles.

You mean to tell me all I need to do is go back to cheaper steel railed saddles? My 30lb+ bike probably won't feel different but man the creaking is driving me nuts.

I never thought TI would creak any more than steel.

I'll test it out when I get home but from what I hear that ZTTO brand is shockingly good for the price. Everything Rome has tried from them has been quality.
 
I've bought a bunch of stuff from ZTTO, they seem to be a "legit" brand. I think I first found them when looking for a good hose barb press incidentally...

I've placed one or two orders from them and everything was as good or better than expected. Tempted to try their hubs but I don't need more wheels.
