Park Rat Thread

Alpine was a bit rough, I thought, but maybe they haven't gotten to it
It was mint opening weekend but is already getting breaking bumps galore . The entrance to the second wall ride has been massaged to be much smoother than last year

Alpine destroys my bike/hands worse than any double black there. Sending the second wall ride into the gap jump at Mach speed is always fun but that shit destroys the arthritis in my fingers…

Do they charge parking in the summer? Used to be if you had a bike on the back they would just let you in.
Last summer they charged just for parking in the top lot. Free everywhere else. So far ita been free in the top this year too but the water park isn't open yet.

About that new feature, nice to see progress every week . Also hoping some trails will be back open Monday I'm itching for road to nowhere sends .

Tempest still had signs up stating it was closed but most of the tech stuff on that side of the mountain is back open . With no more racing on the schedule I'd imagine within a week or two tempest will be open again

Any other updates on this? Aiming for this Saturday

Figure this is a good spot to ask, what is the most beginner friendly bike park within 2ish hours? I don't me like noob beginner I've been to Creek just wanna try new places and bringing someone for their first park experience.
How nice of you, when are you taking me there?

Saw the infamous @Ryan.P from a distance many times but timing was always wrong to say hi.

My son checked off everything he wanted to try, pipeline drop, all the salvation features and the stuff in tempest. 20+ lap day. ‘Twas a good day. The pipeline drop was the first thing ever that my son did before I did. The tides are turning…
