OOS MOGA

@Juggernaut and @qclabrat mentioned a gravel ride at MCBP?
After riding lift, I am kinda in the mood for a longish mellow road/gravel/fire road ride.
Didn't @fidodie post a strava with a gravel ride not too long ago? I am thinking ditch the Mahlon ride and do this instead on Sunday.
Let me go find this on the bus this morning.

Yeah, this in my work hood, I riding this area lots and pretty familiar with it. Though I'm not sure if there will be much interest with the OOS community. What about I was talking about was a rail trail to park ride like Patriots to LewMo, or Columbia to Nassau, or Canal to either Rutgers or 6MR. There's also the Henry Hudson to Cheesequake and Hartshorne, should be more out there. Can others toss out rail trails near you which connect to a single track park?

This was it... but add few more miles.
plenty of roads in there - and i saw some single track, i haven't explored it yet.

I actually think the place is best in below freezing temps, the open marshes are frozen and the only time you can ride there. Also there are lots of bridle paths which are free of horses that time of year. Makes it much more interesting than the regular gravel roads.

we also need to plan a NYC morning ride and another Bear Mt road, what about High Pt?
Bear Mt is death and I imagine High Pt is death as well.
NYC ride is a mellow and easy ride. Done this 3 times with MTBNJ crew and couple of times with Liong.
Park by the GW bridge early in the morning... thinking like 7AM to ensure free parking.

But I would prefer still prefer to stay away from cars and pedestrians

I am prolly not going to ride anything with drop bars once temps hit below freezing so kinda wanting to take the CX bike out for a ride before its stored away.

I think most OOS are allergic to drop bars.

same for me, I'll ride the gravel bike till it either snows or the ground freezes, then I'll winterize the fleet and only ride the fat and Carver hardtail.
@BPaze, if you don't take the Framed, I'm sure someone here would. I'm tempted in building it and giving to one of my buddies who recovering from a heart attack and needs some easy exercise.
