check the thread, all the fridays for this year are laid out in post 1
I was pretty hot on the chameleon until you pointed out the weight. I think my Talon might be lighter lolI don't completely get the Chameleon and likely a reason so many here have sold theirs in the past year. It's burly, has great geo, but it's heavy for a HT. For NJ I'd like to eventually get a carbon HT which weighs in close to 20lbs like your Superfly.
Supposedly 1-3" of snow on FridayMost people are probably waiting to see what happens with the weather. Is only my guess.

My 2.8 tires didn't do too well in the snow at Waway about a month ago.
Yeah... the tires just sunk in and was a soul suckerthe nov snow was an odd snow, very slushy (at least by me) riding in that wouldnt have been fun i dont think. Most of the snow we had last year my 2.8s were enough, and made a significant difference over your 'standard' 2.3 width tire. I think the stache (3.0) or fatboy will be even better, but i want to try out the difference between those two to see if fatbikes are overkill for NJ snow or not
If Henoch leads a ride through his urban oasis....I'm all over this. City riding coupled with a pit stop to OH.....Winning!!!!
Oh.... 2 bike day!Not many trails around here, which I am always driving out to NJ.
On the other hand the pit stop at OH sounds great
you ride road a lot?Oh.... 2 bike day!
MTB at Cunningham and then hop on the roadie to OH!
Looking at my strava, I did....you ride road a lot?
Looking at my strava, I did....
2918 gravel/road miles
2140 trail miles
a lot of the snow was unbroken trails, even fat bike tires a few inches is tough. I kind of like slugging through at 3-4 mph, YMMVYeah... the tires just sunk in and was a soul sucker
Most I did in a year is about 1600mileswhats the time period on that? in a year? thats pretty good if so.
it was kinda like riding thru mud. Slower speeds is fine but when it just drains energy... its just like argh!a lot of the snow was unbroken trails, even fat bike tires a few inches is tough. I kind of like slugging through at 3-4 mph, YMMV
On snow riding...if I make it back from Miami we'll see what a 26" 2.3 can do...
That would be a long, but fun day.Oh.... 2 bike day!
MTB at Cunningham and then hop on the roadie to OH!
Yeah man! Almost 17 miles. There was a lot of complainingOh man, did you do the ride on Sunday like that. You are a trooper! I can’t imagine what your legs were feeling like.
