OOS MOGA

So I’m listening to yet another podcast
“Stuff you should know” and the topic is Korean Fan Death. Huh? Here’s a snip from the show notes.

“There’s a commonly-held belief in Korea that if you fall asleep with a fan blowing on your face you may die in your sleep from it. And while this idea is found nowhere else in the world, Korean culture has come up with some interesting explanations.”

Is this real? I kinda think it’s more white people making shit up... but?
Huh? is there another episode? Or did I sleep thru it?
But anyways.... yes.... this is true.
Something my dad would tell me when I was a kid so I don't sleep with the fan on. I always assumed it was to save electricity.

EDIT
Oh... "another" podcast.... got it!

High Mt. needs signage so bad! So far this year it seems if you plan a TM at Mooch it's gonna rain, so many have been rained out this year up there it's crazy! Of the parks that we gotta do together is KVSP, been there it's a lotta fun! One of the easier parks IMHO.

riding solo at parks and exploring is the best way to learn the trails, like Paul said stare at the map trying to figure out where you want to go and navigate your way out. Every park and trail is different some parks are small and easy to learn while others are massive just keep coming out and next year you can lead a Ringwood ride!!

I see a number of problems with your last statement...when you refer to maps, are you talking actual maps or something like strava or similar ? What's the consensus on the most efficient tool to use for this purpose?

I use Trailforks app on my phone it is really good app and has helped me learn the trails. You can also go online ahead of time and set up routes to take.

Edit: I actually always use trailforks because it also syncs to Strava so I track my rides that way as well.

If you wanna walk around on Sat and move some crap... I'm game.
Let's see if we can wrangle up a posse and do some real improvement! I would like the inte sections of plateau loops marked, even if just as reference points for map assistance.

Check the warranty out on the frame, may be worth it if the warranty is good. I wish I was buying now because sweet bike good price.
I've had two Transitions and both were good bikes. Just not great. Builds are second to none, but designs are a little dated. Before jumping at the good deals read up on rear suspension designs cause it makes a load of difference on the bump compliance you want for a FS. Especially for more travel I'm sold on designs with multiple linkages to smooth out the tail. The Transitions use a dated Single Pivot or Horst Link design since it's not patented and rely more on the quality of the shock. Demo a single pivot with others with linkages and maybe you'll see a difference. They aren't bad designs, just given choices there's others to consider. Here's good article if interested.
