Week 2 Power Rankings
This is always easy, as the hard work is done for me. It’s hard to think that 90 points isn’t enough to have a shot to win every week. The short benches will prove to be a real game changer going forward. Without any other delay;
1) @jmanic Pocket Dogs - 1-0
Hit on every starter this week, and it could have been worse for the Sauce that was pretty hot going into this game. Even carrying a backup kicker. This line up looks frightening, I don’t think it’s a one week thing.
2) @oomba47 Dead Sailors - 1-0
Delanie Walker is out for the year, but stealing Conner in the draft proves to be a game changer. The first year manager will more than likely sit on top of this chart as long as Conner is the guy in Pittsburgh. Looks like Luck has made Hilton relevant again. Scary.
3) @Carson - “Just Team Carson?” - 1-0
Seems like every time Tyreek Hill touches the ball its magic, and he is touched the ball a lot this first game. He’s a magician. Carson didn’t have much of a challenge from the Guac, but flexed hard and balled out with a solid scoring performance. Unsure if Hill will always drop a 38 burger, but it will sure be nice if he does.
4) @jShort - Too $hort - 1-0
A surprise from last years dumpster fire of a team, Germy had a battle royale with @UtahJoe that went deep into the Monday night games. OBJ gonna OBJ and Julio seems to be the only person Matt Ryan has eyes for. The WR tandem is going to cause problems for opposing teams. It seems impossible for both of them to have duds any given week.
5) @Magic - Magic the Gathering - 1-0
I can’t believe I’m typing this, but yes, Magic is a top 5 power ranking team for Week 2. The Brady/Gronk stack will always put up points. I think Magic stepped in shit with Freeman going out and Coleman possibly being the lead dog going forward. If you told me Wayne Gallman would have more points than Bell Week 1 a couple of months ago, I would have bet the barn. Are we worried about KHunt though?
6) @stb222 - Long Duck Dongs - 1-0
The lowest scoring of the winning teams, In proper Kevy style, barely squeaks by @jnos with Aaron Rodgers only having one leg in the second half. As expected from the draft, it may be a slow start for this RB core.
7) @UtahJoe - London Silly Nanies - 0-1
The highest scoring losing team has a couple of things to be excited about, but Freeman going down, Actually playing Duke Johnson, and Watson throwing up a dud will really make Utah think about week 2. Is Darnold possibly a better option than Watson? Who woulda thunk.
8) @pearl - Pearl Necklaces - 0-1
Baldwin blowing out a tire really is a cause for concern, as he is already carrying the dead weight of Bell. Some WW moves will need to be made with possibly 3 of the 5 bench spots being out for multiple weeks. A solid outing, but running into the buzz saw of the Sailors, rough way to start the year. MORAL IS LOW.
9) @fidodie - Mariani Sauce - 0-1
Another team with some highs and lows, The lows really being anyone playing in Buffalo. McCoy is playing behind Nathan Peterman, or that Allen guy, does it really matter? They are going to start pulling guys off the street in Buffalo it looks that bad. That and playing Big Ben on the road, everyone knows not to do that!
10) @jnos - 26” Wheels - 0-1
This L will sting, Starting a defense throwing up NEGATIVE NINE points is the difference of the loss here. Will we look back at this and say this was the game that kept this team out of the playoffs? Otherwise, a solid outing from the rest of the team, but the manager let him down this week and will be towards the bottom. Should be able to rebound Week 2.
11) @elzoller - Guac-Oh! - 0-1
The Guac is not fresh this week, it seems that Stafford is a bum and this team is really just a bunch of vanilla avocados at this point. It seems that Henry is not the workhorse he looked to be drafted as which is a cause for concern. I don’t think you can trust James White every week, can ya?
12) @Chris26er - Bandicoots - 0-1
Getting beat up by Magic is enough of a reason to be down in the cellar this week. Collins seems to be the real deal but them beating up on Buffalo, they benched him. Fournette is always hurt it seems. Garoppolo seemed lost agains Minnesota. In his defense, every QB usually does. It will be an uphill battle for the long time veteran manager who has been part of the league since year one.
