I'm totally lost on how this thing is scored.

total time.
I didn't want to exclude the indoor workouts, and didn't want to burden the riders with having to "manage"
them - so i created a composite group. Because of the unnecessary back-n-forth at the start, and lack of leadership
on my part, we've lost a bunch of people, and did not "gain" the indoor people.
you are crushing it. See you at short track?
OK.. I see the composite number. As the weather gets nicer, I'll be outside more and more, but still doing my hard training workouts on the trainer in the afternoon. Its just easier and more consistent to do intervals inside, in the basement.
I'm not sure what short track is... I guess it is mountain bike racing? I've never raced MTB and I'd probably suck at it. I'm too timid in the woods. The few times that I've ridden with people that actually race MTB, they smash me. I literally can't even stay close enough to watch what they do for very long. I race TT's and some road races/crits. My first race is Sandy Hook TT and so far, my fitness and numbers are where I want them to be and in better shape compared to where I was at this point last year.
the sport class of short track is competitive at the front, and a bunch of trash talking fools (like me) in the middle. good time, low chance of getting seriously injured.
Good luck on the TT circuit. I live a couple miles off the readington loop.
Cool. well, good luck at Short Track.
By Readington Loop, do you mean the Somerset Circuit TT? I don't know of a Readington TT, but I know that a few years ago a bunch of TT's disappeared and some newness popped up. I didn't get to race Somerset (if that's the loop you mean) last year, but here's a shot from the previous year. This is one of my favorite race photos.

The PSEG right of way eliminated a lot of road time and was in good condition
I LOL'd at that...for what it's worth, he was in a pick up with train wheels on it...actually on the tracks, so it's not like he could have pulled a quick 180 and started chasing me down
him - "you could get hit by a train"
is this the one that runs from Waldwick to glen rock?
if so its a nice addition to the saddle river pathway.
but its kind of odd to be basically riding through peoples backyards
