saw a tv show over the weekend on oakland public access tv suggesting they are building a pump track in oakland designed by art white and jorba. paydirt hours will be awarded for this project. will it connect to cannonball:popcorn:

Any idea on where it would be? I know the boat launch has been closed a while now and the gates locked up.

A bike area will be in (proposed) Great White Oak Park, which will have other facilities: concert lawn, dog park, bike loop, pedestrian path etc. ...not far from Doty Rd and 202 intersection. Not sure if it will be an actual pump track which demands ongoing maintenance (volunteer) and water.

So if its not quite a pump track, would it make a good short track or cx course?

I have not been to the site myself, but I think it will be a very small and suitable bike area where you can take your kids.

Is that the old Pleasureland site? It has been closed since the 1985 shootout. Good to see it may get some use.

they mentioned doty in the video that was filmed this feb. also mentioned the dog run. yes it seemed like its geared for youngters and they have a video of kids on the pump track. but they also showed different difficulty markers like skiing. the doty lane they proposed spots for 200 cars. hopefully open by next spring. although dog run project started 4 years ago
