then i look on parts site, the correct hub is now out of stock, so i have to find a different hub

i have a feeling im gonna get screwed on the fork and its not gonna be here in time anyway

i hate being rushed.

the boost dynamo hub is out of stock for "a couple of weeks" now too, so i ordered the fat version too as a backup plan. my whole fox fork plan looks kindof doomed. considering just ordering a bluto to play it safe, ill probably end up using the fat combo for multi day trips anyway

updates on things that have actually worked out:

image.jpeg

rei stuff:
water filter
backup water storage
water purification tablets
ridiculously small headlamp for camp
compression sack for sleep system
tent footprint
sleeping pad

image.jpeg

gopro mounts and doodads
2x memory cards
wire brushes
masterlinks
krazy glue
curved needles
new leatherman squirt (i broke my old one)
hippy camp shoes (these are basically just flipflops, they pack small, weigh nothing but still cover my feet)

image.jpeg

toilet trees:
mudbutt medicine if we fuck up on water purification
sunscreen
toofpaste
asswipes
asscream

DT Swiss XM 551 rims

super light, very clean and well made, ships with nipples and nipplewashers

been using it for years, it gets my teefs clean. it also either is absolutely shit for "whitening" or i just drink too much coffee and it does enough to offset the stains from that

Doesn't do much for whitening - just removes stains. If you need real whitening, use this - contains hydrogen peroxide which will bleach stains from your teef

PS I work for the company - if you show at the BIYF ride I can give you some samples to try

Taking notes, taking notes 🙂

Nice rims, what tires are you going to put on them? What bike are they going in?

all this is goin on the fatbike, tires are WTB trail boss 3.0, forgot to take pics of those since those were one of the first things to come in

some of those doodads are "luxury" items, like my sleeping pad is a super plush one instead of a minimal low weight one, camp shoes

stuff starting to trickle in

good thing too because i noticed my lazer has a crack in it, not sure when that happened.

8020 platforms definitely support me with these shoes, it feels nice, even more than i had with candys. plus i dont have to worry about them exploding on me in the middle of nowhere

vibram soles are grippy af. no more busting my ass in slippery race shoes

Love the helmet...have the same one in blue w white back...does yours have the MIPS system on it? After it shattered my helmet last year on mtb trail in Montana I sprung for a little extra technology for my noggin🙂

Hey mumo by coincidence I threw this shirt in my bag to ride after work. You need this brotato chip (the color comes out wrong on my phone - it's bright orange)
