Not a lot of choices on shotgun Saturday, but Black Run is one of them. 22 miles. The Beavers have made the bogs there home.

What is this place like?

It's pinelands, it's small, they packed in a lot of trails. Some trails are marked, some are not. Old bogs, lots of water. It is listed as the gateway to the pine lands, but it's more like a gated community in the pine lands.

What is this place like?

Definitely not a destination. Just a local place. I would consider it local to me, but go there rarely. Since it's sandy, a wet season option much like Wharton.
