Jumping in on this thread with a question. My Thomson hasn't been solidly topping out and can make some up/down movement. Need to send back to Thomson for service. Will need it done quick. Is everyone happy with the Loam? May be purchasing to have something while the Thomson is getting serviced.

Loam or One Up. I prefer the latter, since you can buy oversize keys for it to eliminate side to side play, but that's just me. They both work fine. People hated on the plunger-style actuator that One Up used to use, and they changed it...though the original didn't have issues with being put right next to a rivnut.

An update... The creak was the saddle rails. Tightened them before my ride today and all was well. Still swapping it out for the proper size this week though.
