Need help to identify rear shock specs

Hi all,

The rear shock on my 2019 Giant Trance Advanced 1 27.5 Medium seems not to hold air.
I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify the specifications for the rear shock in case I decide to purchase a replacement.
Did a quick online search but didn't find anything 🙁

Thanks

If it's a Fox there should be a code on it that gives you the specific info for that shock on their site. I'm assuming adogg nailed it.

You should just get it serviced if it's not holding air. If it's an X2 it may be the generation that Fox will just send you an updated one as they had faults..

Cool, I will give Fox a call tomorrow. Thx

Do you all think this is worth rebuilding, or should I look for a new one? Are there better alternatives by another brand, I ride more XC style (should get a new bike I know).

I will call Fox when they open up in the AM.

Thx again everyone

PS: maybe it is time to move into the 29er world lol

100% rebuild. It's not a bad shock, unless it's one of the X2s that Fox basically automatically swaps for a new one if you send it in for service. I can't recall if those were 2019 or 2020.

All suspension needs servicing, if you've never done it it's way past it's original due date. Honestly I'd take a Fox serviced shock over a brand new Fox that comes out of the overseas factory with possible QC problems.

But @TommyF is right, an air can seal kit is pretty easy to do yourself. But it's probably past time for a full rebuild if it's been 5 years.
